Private Deforest was a minor character in Saving Private Ryan. He was a surgeon for the Americans during the invasion of Omaha Beach on D-Day during World War Two.

Biography

Deforest landed on Omaha Beach and he was wounded in the chest and it was said that he sprung a hundred leaks and was being treated by T-4 Medic Irwin Wade, another medic and a Medical Officer.

Wade managed to stop the bleeding, but Deforest was suddenly shot again, this time in the head by the German bunker's machine gun, killing him.

Wade mourned his death by cursing the Germans, barking for them to just give them a chance to save his life.
