Deforest was a surgeon for the Americans on Omaha Beach.
Biography
Deforest landed on Omaha beach and he was wounded in the chest, and was said to have sprung a hundred leaks, and was being treated by T-4 Medic Irwin Wade, another medic, and a Medical Officer. Wade managed to stop the bleeding, but Deforest was suddenly shot in the head by the German Bunker's Machine Gun, killing him.
