Private Delancey was a Ranger in the 2nd Ranger Battalion.
Biogrpahy
Delancey landed on Omaha Beach with Charlie Company, 2nd Ranger Battalion. Captain John H. Miller helped carry him ashore, and right after Delancey thanked Captain Miller, he was shot in the upper left of his chest by a KAR-98-K Rifle, killing him instantly. Miller left the soldier's dead body drown in the bloody sea.
