Private Delancey was a minor character in Saving Private Ryan. He was a Ranger in Charlie Company of the 2nd Ranger Battalion.
Biography
Delancey landed on Omaha Beach with Charlie Company, 2nd Ranger Battalion. Captain John H. Miller helped carry him ashore, but right after Delancey thanked Captain Miller, he was shot in the upper left of his chest by a KAR-98-K Rifle, killing him instantly. Miller left the soldier's dead body drown in the bloody sea.
