Esson was a minor character in Saving Private Ryan. He was a soldier in the 2nd Rangers Batallion of the United States Army during World War Two.
Biography
Esson was part of Company C led by Captain John H. Miller. On D-Day, June 6th,1944, Esson was deployed to Omaha Beach with Charlie Company, 2nd Rangers Battalion. Esson was seen when the landing crafts came under fire from the German MG-42s in the coastal bunker. Captain Miller shouted for his men to jump into the water to evade enemy fire.
