McDonald was a minor character in the film, Saving Private Ryan. He was a soldier who landed at Omaha Beach on D-Day during World War Two.
He was tasked with destroying the Nazi bunker positions along with the other soldiers. He later helped to take a German machine gun position and even shared a kill with his fellow soldiers. It was unknown if he survived.
