The Naval Demolitionsman was a minor character in the film, Saving Private Ryan. He was an Asian-American sailor, and part of the Navy Beach Battalion that took part in D-Day on June 6th,1944 during World War Two.
Biography[]
He landed on Omaha Beach on June 6,1944. Once secure, he was ordered to make holes for the tanks that are about to be ferried across the English Channel. He encountered Captain Miller who tried to get help from him, but the sailor told him that he had to follow orders. Miller tried to explain that the armor was sinking in the Channel, but the sailor did not listen. He is later seen clearing German trenches after making it off the beach. His fate was left unknown.
