Private Parker was an American paratrooper in the 101st Airborne. He was a machine gunner, and one of the soldiers stationed at Ramelle, during World War Two.

Biography

Parker jumped with the 101st Airborne into Normandy on June 6, 1944. He was one of the men selected by a Colonel to join the Ramelle Paratroopers, commanded by Captain Jennings. There job was to secure the bridge at the town of Ramelle.

Eventually, they were joined by Miller's Men, which formed the Ramelle Defenders. He and PFC. Jackson (One of the Rangers), were positioned in the belltower. Jackson's duty was to pick off any German Soldiers with his Springfield Sniper Rifle, while Parker covered him with his 30 cal. machine gun.

During the battle, Parker was able to kill any German Soldiers that got past his side of the belltower. He eventually ran out of ammo however, which left Jackson to kill any Germans. Jackson was able to kill all the Germans in the area, but his sniper fire attracted the attention of a Panzer Tank. Jackson yells a warning, when both Parker and Jackson are killed by a shell from the tank.

Goofs

• In the final battle Parker says the 30 caliber is out of ammo, but when he puts it aside there is clearly a belt of ammo (with bullets in them) attached to the 30 caliber.
• There is a continuity error when Parker is seen firing the last few shots, the belt had shrunk to less than 10 rounds in the belt but as he removes the machine gun, a much longer belt is seen.
