Private Peter Ryan was the brother of James Ryan, and is the third oldest in the family.
Biography
He lived in Payton, Iowa, with his three brothers, Daniel Ryan, Sean Ryan, and James Ryan, and is the son of Mrs. Margaret Ryan. He has a wife and an unborn son. In 1942, he along with his brothers James, and Sean surprised Daniel with his girlfriend Alice Jardine, which resulted in the barn nearly going up. He later joined the Army that year, and was originally assigned to the 29th Infantry Division in the same Company his brothers were in, but was later transferred to the 4th Infantry Division. He was killed on Utah Beach on June 6th, 1944.
