Private Weller was a minor character in the film Saving Private Ryan. He was a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne, and one of the Ramelle Paratroopers stationed at Ramelle
Biography
Weller jumped into Normandy on June 6, 1944, the D-Day of Operation Overlord. He was then rounded up by a Colonel to go to Ramelle under the command of Captain Jennings, who was eventually killed in the bombings.
When Miller's Squad came to Ramelle, Weller asked Rice whats going on. Rice explained the death of Ryan's brothers. When Captain Miller took control, he began to make "sticky bombs" to prepare for the incoming German attack.
When the get,and did arrive, he hid in a building with Wilson and proceeded to drop Molotov cocktails on a Marder III, and then attacked the crew within a German Tank. He was then wounded by a 20mm Flak shell explosion along with Lyle. He tried crawling to safety only to be shot in the back by a German Soldier, killing him.
