William Sampson was a bangalore expert in Charlie Company, 2nd Rabgers Battalion.
Biography[]
He landed at Omaha Beach on June 6th,1944. He was one of just a few survivors of Sgt. Carrentan's landing craft. He managed to reach the Dog 1 exit next to Captain Miller. He placed bangalore torpedos over the shingle. It blew up and destroyed the wire, clearing the way for Miller and his men. He then proceeded to Vierville. He survived the battle as he is later seen marching surrendering troops.
