Private Wilson was a minor character in the film Saving Private Ryan. He was a soldier in the 101st Airborne, and one of the Ramelle Paratroopers stationed at Ramelle.
Biography
He jumped into Normandy on June 6, 1944. He was then rounded up by a Colonel in the 101st Airborne to go defend the town of Ramelle. He managed to survive the bombings on the town. His group was then joined by Miller's Men when they came to rescue Private Ryan after the deaths of his three brothers.
During the Battle at Ramelle, he went out on the Rabbit vehicle to draw the Germans into the main road with Private Reiben and then hid in a building with Private Weller to drop Molotov cocktails into a Marder III the advancing Germans were using.
He then started to retreat to the Alamo across the bridge but he was shot in the back by Steamboat Willie and fell into the river, drowning to death.
